The ending was spectacular!"

A gifted copy provided to me by author/publisher in exchange for an honest review. - A story about two broken people who come together and manage to heal each other. It is incredibly difficult to say which characters history will break your heart worse. suffice it to say that this is a very emotionally engaging story. The main storyline revolves around solving the mystery surrounding Olivia Swanson's past. Dr. Marlow Kane a hypnotherapist starts treating Olivia to help her try to recover her memories after she is in an accident. The path that these two travel together is at times dark, disturbing and heartbreaking. In the end they get their HEA which is very well deserved. I highly recommend this book. SPOILER ALERT If you are a survivor of child abuse this book could bring up situation that could disturb you; so please be aware before reading.
- I was hesitant to read this book. I have read everything Georgia has written and loved it all. This one however; it definitely put me back a bit. But, oh how wonderfully mislead I was. This was such a sad tale for two people that should of had wonderful lives. To read what happened to them and then for them to find their real happiness was such a good story. Olivia and Marlow are so wonderful together!!
- I waited months for this book to come out and when it did, I devoured it in a few short hours. Georgia Le Carre has once again given her readers two broken characters that will make your heart bleed while drowning in love with them. She gave us Dr. Kane who is as he described himself " a shell of a man " . A man stricken by an unspeakable tragedy, loss and disgrace of his reputation. She also gave us a fragile beauty ''Olivia" whose hidden secrets are so horrific, you can't help but love and pity her. Together, these two lost souls find and anchor in each other. Their lust and passion for each other blossoms into a binding love so deep that no matter the mistakes of the past, they will not live without each other.
There was an unspoken need to own, comfort and love between the Dr. Kane and Olivia that only the most skilled writer makes you feel and long for the actual words to be said.
I tried to write this review without giving away too much information and I have three more times after my first initial reading because I simply love it. I have always admired Georgia Le Carre's writing and the characters she creates. I must say, Dr. Marlow Kane and Blake Barrington ( The Billionaire Banker series) are now head-to-head on my list. - I have read a few of Ms. Le Carr's stories and am never disappointed. - This one was a little different. I liked that the point of view of the hypnotist was used in this case. Great internal conflict resolution. Great story. This is a complete story with a happy ending.
- I have been waiting for this book. From the start I was entranced. Lady Olivia is a lost soul and is introduced to Dr. Kane who helps find what is lost. Dr. Kane is also lost. They come together, crossing lines that shouldn't be crossed. A fierce passion and hot molten heat. Marlow is just dirty far far more dirty than you ever imagined. Breakout the cold showers.
- Once you pick this book up, you won't be able to put it down. Give it a try. I promise, you'll love it.
