A beautiful yet tough woman working in a beautiful yet tough setting, Brannon Callahan is a search and rescue helicopter pilot for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Strong faith and a decorated history of service have kept her one step ahead of on-the-job dangers, but there’s no precedent for what’s about to happen. After a blizzard takes down a small plane carrying U.S. Marshal Roark Holland (already haunted by a recent tragedy), Brannon must save him in more ways than one and safeguard the donor heart he’s transporting to a government witness on the edge of death. Otherwise the largest child trafficking ring in history—with shocking links from Thailand to Tennessee—will slip further away into darkness along the Appalachian Trail.

"Park Ranger, Brannon Callahan, and U.S. Marshal, Roark Holland, try to track down a child trafficking ring with help from their coworkers and friends. Having a crazy congressman, and that's putting it as nice as possible, on their heels and in their faces at every turn doesn't help matters. About twenty percent into the story, this became a page turner I couldn't put down."

Deliver Us From Evil Robin Caroll 9781537095349 Books Reviews
- Love! I read this series a few years ago before I had my . I have all of them in paperback, and loved them so much I decided to get them for my too. And I must say, I loved this book just as much as the first time through, if not more. Robin has created some wonderful characters and I do wish they were real! I wish I could have these wonderful people in my life who would do anything for each other without batting an eye. Lincoln is my favorite! And I am excited that Fear No Evil is next, as I know that story focuses on him. Please read this book, but only if you love mystery, suspense and a fantastic story that will keep you up late at night flipping pages because you can't wait to see what happens next!! )
- An amazing story that takes hold on page one and doesn't stop. Ms. Carroll shows us again that she applies careful research into her realistic writing. Her excellent character development and uncanny ability to bring scenes to life put you right into the action. She brings awareness to the difficult and heart rending reality of child sexploitation. Several of the characters portray Christ as the center of their lives. The faith aspect is a realistic portrayal of strong Christian living as is the dissolution of falling away and joy of returning. I add my voice to so many others who have written reviews and urge you to read this book.
- LOVE search-and-rescue stories and Deliver Us from Evil did not disappoint. The premise is not only unique and interesting with the donor heart element but woven with twists of intrique and unexpected turns. Roark and Brannon are multi-layered characters who have in common their competative natures. Love the back-and-forth chemistry while they "spar" over Bible verses, etc. That lifted the tension just enough to balance the high-intensity suspense moments which were exhilerating. I felt like I was in the heroine's helicoptor, watching the story take place on-scene. Excellent pace and romantic tension. Loved the character's journeys, past traumas and the internal struggles they had to work though while in jeapardy. Well-written romantic suspense in a beautiful mountainous setting.
- Suspense grabs you by the throat and pulls you through the book as Roark ,from the Us Marshall's Service and Brannon, a ranger for the NPS work with multiple agencies to break up a human trafficking ring and solve murders.
I loved the intense characters and the setting.
I recommend this book to those who love Christian romantic suspense. - Brannon works for the park services as a helicopter pilot. Roark is an agent on a mission to deliver a heart to a witness in a child smuggling/prostitution ring. Besides the swirling snowstorm, there are also swirling emotions. It was a great read and kept me on the edge of my seat.

Having a crazy congressman, and that's putting it as nice as possible, on their heels and in their faces at every turn doesn't help matters. - Robin Caroll has got a real page turner here. I don't often stay up late to finish a book, but I had to with this one. Aside from the great writing and excellent plot, she brings to light the tragedy of child trafficking in the U.S., a problem that has gone largely unreported by the mainstream media. Knowing that there is that element of truth behind her fiction makes you even more desperate to get through the chapters and find out the fate of these poor girls. Robin's passion for this tragedy shines through her writing.
- While the subject of child trafficking is horrific the storyline of this book was engrossing and fast paced. The book held my interest from start to finish and I liked that it did that without any use of profanity or undesirable graphic detail.
I found a new author to read!
