• I used this book in my intro to acting class during my undergraduate degree. I appreciated the experiential exercises as a method of instruction here. I believe if a picture is worth a thousand words, how much more is a mental picture of a scenario worth? I would say many, many more. The very beginning of the book with its technique on focusing I found to be incredibly helpful not only for the acting class but also for the couple of speech classes I had afterward.
• This book is really helpful. I bought a cheaper used copy, so of course it was a bit beat up. But the content in this is rally helping for aspiring actors. I use this all the time in my theatre class, but if you're just curious about acting then this is the book!
• A lot smaller than expected especially given the price, but my daughter needed it for school. I wish that college books were cheaper given that college is already so expensive.
• This book is so phenomenal! It's great for pros to return to basics, and young actors build up their skills. I would recommend it for both active theatre artists and educators!

• As a novice Intro to Acting teacher, I borrowed this book from my colleague's shelf to assist me with ideas for class. It has a lot of very good ideas for games and strategies for teaching the tools of acting (ojectives, tactics, etc.)! I also find it has some strategies that I find too abstract as a teacher, and I don't think my students would comprehend and work with well. In the end, I have used this book A LOT to assist me with finding my own strategies and processes for teching beginning actors. A great tool for every acting teacher's library!
• This is definitely a great book especially if looking for an introduction into acting.
